Add Idle Event Listener on Maps

In this example you will learn how to add Idle Event Listener to google map. This event fires when the map becomes idle after panning or zooming.

Here you can view the output of the example and you can also "try it yourself" by clicking on "Live Demo" button given at the bottom.

Syntax

//Adding idle event listener here
  map.addListener('idle', function() {
    document.getElementById('panel').innerHTML  = 'Idle Event';
    window.setTimeout(function() {
      document.getElementById('panel').innerHTML = '';
    }, 2000);
  });
